Reflecation on the lesson 

Monday: 27/ February / 2017

Today I taught a lesson about the adjectives of personality and about the opposite of each adjective. In the starter of the lesson, I reviewed the adjectives of the previous lesson using the flashcards which were displayed using the PowerPoint, after that, I gave the students about 5 minutes to talk with their partner about their personality using the adjectives that we had discussed and reviewed in the starter of the lesson. Then, I introduced the opposites of the adjectives that we have reviewed in the starter of the lesson and the follow up of this phase was a listening activity with a small handout that contains question related to the listening. The extend phase of the lesson was a writing activity in which they should write about their personality using the adjective of personality. After the lesson my MST told some comments about my teaching, she told me that I gave the students a clear instruction and explanation of each activity and section of the lesson and that the students were engaged and focused on the lesson. In addition, told me to work more on my verbal feedback as in to give the students more verbal feedback about their work.

Reflecation on the lesson 

Wednesday: 1/ March / 2017

The lesson that I taught today was about the house rules and the adjective of personality, like a starter of the lesson I reviewed the previous lesson with the students, and I have chosen one of eth students to do the reading activity. After that, I discussed house rules with students as they had to read a text about it. Then the students had done a speaking activity to discuss the questions related to the text. The extended phase was a writing activity in which the students wrote about two sentences about their personality using the unit adjectives. During this activity, some students finished early had to solve a page in the activity book. After the lesson, I had a discussion with my MST about the lesson; she told me that it I had modeled the lesson effectively and that I was able to encourage the students to answer and participate in the lesson and that I had used good visual aids to engage the students in the lesson. Additionally, there was a point that I should work on more, which is one is about the time of speaking activity as she said that I could have given the students more time to speak more with their partner.

Reflecation on the lesson 

Thursday: 9/ March / 2017

Today I had a lesson about a talented athlete and how they inspire people. The starter of the lesson was a review the vocabulary of the previous lesson, then I asked the students to read about a talented swimmer, and after that, they had to speak with their partner about the reading. The next phase of the lesson was the writing activity in which they had to write some sentences using ed and ing adjectives. The closure of the lesson was solving the activity book as it helps the students to practice using the ed and ing adjective. In this lesson, my MST told me that I had improved in the giving verbal feedback and in organizing the time for the speaking activity. Moreover, she told me that I had modeled the tasks effectively and that my materials matched the lesson content and the grade level. Finally, the thing that improved more was the assessing the students as now I can assess the students and especially the students who had difficulties in understanding the content or the language.
